Reentry Support
Getting you back on your feet
and a bright path ahead.
If you’re looking forward to getting back into the community in the Kenai/Soldotna area, we’re here to provide support and connect you with the resources you need for a successful transition.
You’ll get wrap-around services with a team-based approach.
We collaborate closely with Alaska’s Department of Corrections (DOC) and many community partners offering a variety of services to address your specific needs and any barriers to reentry.
Frontier assists those who
-
have served 30+ days of incarceration
-
are within 90 days of release from a DOC facility
-
are not on probation or parole.
With a focus on individualized support and collaboration with other organizations, Frontier’s Recidivism Reduction program aims to empower successful reintegration into society and reduce recidivism rates.

Finding your new home
Frontier will help get you into housing that fits your needs.
We work with the DOC using programs such as the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) Returning Home Program. Through our established relationships, we’ll help arrange appointments with AHFC and follow up on applications for vouchers. We also tap into our community resource list of landlords that accept Alaska Housing.
Frontier offers referrals to temporary and emergency housing resources when needed.

Connecting you with employment
We’ll assist with job preparation, search and stability.
One path to our employment services is through a referral from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR). Frontier is a Community Rehabilitation Provider (CRP) through DVR, providing employment support to individuals who qualify.
Another path is through Frontier’s Individual Placement and Support (IPS) program designed for those who experience behavioral health conditions. It provides supported employment with access to an in-house full-time clinician and has been rated highly for our “zero exclusion” criteria.
We also serve anyone without a referral transitioning into the community by offering resume assistance and information on available positions within the community, focusing on employers who hire employees with legal barriers.
Treatment resources
We make appropriate referrals to community providers for substance abuse, mental health, and wellness support.
